Is Toybox Bible free?
Yes. The app is free to download, every story is free to read, and there are no ads or in-app purchases.
Do I need an internet connection?
The first 10 stories are built into the app and work offline. The other stories download the first time you open them, so you'll need to be online for that. To read anywhere, tap Download all stories on the Read the Bible screen while you're on Wi-Fi.
How do I turn the narration or sounds on or off?
In a story, tap the round menu button at the bottom of the page. There you can turn the story voice and background sounds on or off and choose who reads the story. Games have the same menu.
I can't hear anything.
Check that your device's volume is up and the ring/silent switch isn't set to silent. In the story menu, make sure Story voice is on. If sound stops after the app was in the background, close the story and open it again.
A story won't download.
Make sure you're connected to the internet and that your device has free storage space, then try again. If it keeps failing, email us and tell us which story.
Does the app collect my child's information?
No accounts, no ads and no tracking. Reading progress stays on your device. Read our privacy policy for the details.
Can my family read on the web too?
Yes. You can read every story free at toyboxbible.org/stories or open the app in your browser.
