The story
Jesus’ friend John was very old. One day God showed him something wonderful: a peek at the happy ending God has planned.
John saw a new heaven and a new earth. He saw a shining city, sparkling like jewels, with gates made of pearl and streets of gold!
Then John heard a loud voice say, “Look! God’s home is with his people. He will live with them forever!”
In God’s new world, there will be no more crying. No more hurting. No more sad days. God will wipe away every tear.
A river, clear as crystal, flows from God’s throne. The tree of life grows beside it, full of fruit. The city never needs a lamp, because God is its light!
Jesus says, “I am coming soon!” One day, God will make everything new, and we will be with him forever!
