The story
Far away in the East, some wise men loved to study the night sky. One night they saw a brand-new star, bright and shining.
“A new King has been born!” they said. “Let’s go and worship him!” So they packed their gifts and set off on a long, long trip.
In Jerusalem, King Herod heard about the new King. He was not happy at all! But the wise men kept going, and the star went ahead of them.
The star stopped right over the house where young Jesus lived. The wise men were so happy, they could hardly stand still!
They knelt down low and worshiped Jesus. They gave him shining gold, sweet-smelling frankincense, and myrrh. Gifts fit for a King!
Then God warned them in a dream, so they went home a different way. Jesus is the King of everyone!
