The story
King David wrote a song to God. “Lord, you know me! You know when I sit down and when I stand up. You know what I’m thinking, even before I say it!”
“Where could I go away from you? If I go up to the sky, you are there. If I fly across the sea on the wings of the morning, you are there, too.”
“Even the dark is not dark to you, God. The night shines like the day!” Wherever you go, God is with you. You are never alone.
“You made every part of me, God. You knit me together like a soft, warm blanket before I was even born. Click, click, click!”
“I praise you, because I am wonderfully made!” Your nose, your toes, your giggle, your fingerprints. Nobody else is just like you. God made you on purpose!
God knows you, and God loves you. Even before you were born, God planned every one of your days. You are his special treasure.
